(t) heArt works…
Is a collaborative practice formed by Yasmin Baddley and Mel Kirkham, who are both artists and educators. The work tries to develop notions around art as an agent for social change, food (in)justice, enabling, random acts of kindness, learning to think creatively and openly, using informal educational systems, sustainable food structures, home(lessness), being healthy and creating good mental health, different economies of living, occupancy of space, learning and socialising that enables bridges between communities. Baddley and Kirkham are currently engaged in producing photos around the ideas of expectation and control. Kirkham (as a member of the OUTSIDER collaboration) recently produced within the work at Tate Exchange/Backlit Studios working with art to create social change.
